Gal UP
Gal Up is an LGBTQA social/ support group in which women come together in a relaxed, safe environment to discuss various aspects of our daily lives, such as family, dating, career, and networking within our community, just to name a few. We meet from 6:00-7:30pm on the fourth Wednesday of each month at The Up Center in Urbana, Illinois. In between meetings we often get together socially for dinner, movies, Illini softball, coffee, board games, Roller Derby, etc. This group is geared toward ages 21 and older.

Jennifer Fowler
Like Will Schuester from the gay-friendly TV show Glee, Jennifer Fowler teaches high school Spanish by day to America's future generation. She is a native of Tennessee, the land of bluegrass and BBQ where everyone refers to soda as "Coke." While not very extensive thus far, her volunteer repertoire includes teaching ESL to migrant workers and working with the Midsouth Peace and Justice Center to expose police brutality against transgendered persons of color. She has immensely enjoyed co-facilitating Gal Up and looks forward to continuing her involvement with the UP Center.
Laura Fitch
Laura is a C-U area native and local photographer. Having experienced the feeling of isolation so many in the LGBTQ community often feel, she's happy to be a part of the wonderful Gal UP group of women and to help out the local community via The UP Center.
