The mission of ABC is to help families grow through adoption and to help families heal from the trauma of sexual abuse. Through service and advocacy, ABC Counseling & Family Services seeks to bring justice, healing and wholeness to the people it serves and to enhance the quality of people's lives.
The Acorn Equality Fund, established in 1999, is a grassroots organization that provides financial support for the advancement of the education, health and civil rights of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender persons and their allies in downstate Illinois.

Among Women is an informal support group made up of lesbian, bisexual and queer women students.Among Women is an informal support group made up of lesbian, bisexual and queer women students; a place to meet other women who share your concerns and to form or broaden your social support network; an opportunity to decrease the alienation and isolation of being a lesbian or bisexual woman in a majority heterosexual environment; and a great chance to exchange ideas, experiences, and opinions. We are open to U of I students, both graduate and undergraduate.

Parents may seek out advice and support at many times throughout the years from the day their child is born. Early questions they may ask of seasoned veterans of parenting may be about how to get a baby to sleep through the night, how to potty train, how to handle a tantrum, etc. But later, when they discover that their child is gay, there are not many obvious places to turn for advice and support. Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG) is that place.
A fun peer-led workshop for young gay/bisexual men to give them a chance to discuss issues they face dealing with relationships and sex. Topics include things like how and where to meet and approach other men, how to have fun, safer sex, and how to talk to their friends about sex. Refreshments are provided and attendees receive a $10 gift card for attending.
Queers and Allies is an organization committed to dismantle oppression in all forms, to provide a safe space, support, and counsel for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender students, allies, and those questioning their sexuality.
Mpowerment is a community group, for young gay/bisexual men, that hosts fun events and activities around the community. It provides a safe and supportive place for young gay men to hang out and make new friends. It is a sex positive group that focuses on building a stronger, inclusive, healthy and visible gay community.
All services are delivered in a victim-center manner. All staff and volunteers are trained to respond to crisis needs of any individual. All are welcome regardless of age, race, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, national origin, ability status, or any other status.
