Reel It UP Film Festival 2013

Join us for our 4th Annual LGBT Film Festival to be held at The Art Theatre in Champaign every Tuesday in June 2013. We will have two showings, at 7:30 pm and 9:30 pm on June 4, June 11, June 18, and June 25.
More information will be posted as we finalize movies and ticket prices.

If you would like to Give It UP to The UP Center and Reel It UP, please contact tencia@unitingpride.org for information on purchasing slides for the slide show that will be played before and after movies and during intermissions.

Turn It UP!

The UP Center of Champaign County would like to invite you to our Fourth Annual Turn It UP! variety show supporting The UP Center and local LGBTQA efforts within our community!

The event will be held on Friday April 12, 2013 from 7-11pm at 88 Broadway, which is located at 142 Lincoln Square, Urbana, IL. Tickets will be sold to students and youth for $5 dollars in advance and $7 dollars at the door. Adult tickets will be sold for $7 in advance and $10 at the door. We will be raffling off an IPOD as well as a 50/50 raffle!

Jariko to Perform at C-U Pride Fest 2012

Jariko, formerly known as Jared Yates, is an American singer/songwriter who began his musical journey in the small, homey town of Danville, Illinois. Realizing his steadfast, stalwart desire to use his musical gift as a means to spark a positive change in peoples lives he began honing his skills by finding solace in the artistry of internationally acclaimed musicians Elton John and Darren Hayes of Savage Garden.

Call For Entertainers

We are accepting interested musicians, singers, spoken word artists and other performers who are interested in performing at this year's Pride Fest to be held on September 8, 2012. Interested parties should email kris@unitingpride.org with name, contact info and type of act. Depending on space and availability, we do have some restrictions and may not be able to accommodate everyone, but we will do our best.

July Families Event

Bring your family and join the Families Group at Hessel Park for a picnic, the chance to play in the fountains, and lots of fun with other LGBTQ families!  The UP Center will provide drinks, but please bring lunches if you would like, and join us for a start-of-summer picnic! The fountains will be on, so feel free to bring bathing suits, towels, and anything else your family might want for water play. We will meet at Hessel Park from 11am-1pm on Saturday, July 28th. Everyone is welcome!

The UP Center Receives Two Grants!

The Grants Committee of the UP Center Board of Directors is pleased to announce that the Center has been awarded two grants.
